    Your path to a motorcycle driver's license

  • 1. Apply for a learner's permit

    Minimum age depends on the category (see overview & requirements)
    Fill out the form
  • 2. Complete mandatory basic course (parts 1-3)

    Sign up now
    → Within 4 months of receiving your learner's permit, after which the learner's permit is extended for another 12 months
    → The exact duration of the course (basic courses) depends on your chosen motorcycle category (see overview & requirements)
  • 3. Book a private driving lesson

    → For greater safety, targeted technical training, and exam preparation
  • 4. Pass practical exam

    → Then it's time to step on the gas, but responsibly.

Overview & Requirements

  • Cat. A1 with max. 50 cm³ / max. 45 km/h -> from 15 years of age

  • Cat. A1 with max. 125 cm³ -> from 16 years of age

  • Kat. A beschränkt mit max. 35 kW -> ab 18 Jahren

  • Cat. A unrestricted -> must have held Cat. A restricted for 2 years

Basic courses

How we drive and what you need to do so

Basically, you ride your own motorcycle. However, you can also rent one from a dealer.
Important: Your motorcycle must be technically sound and checked (condition of brakes, tires, etc.). Ideally, it should have two seats.

• Motorcycle helmet (tested according to ECE Regulation 22) with visor or goggles

• Motorcycle gloves

• Motorcycle jacket, preferably with protectors

• Motorcycle pants, preferably with protectors

• Motorcycle boots/motorcycle shoes


Course Language (Basic courses):

Our courses are conducted in dialect/Swiss German (standard German if required). German language skills should correspond to at least Standard A2 of the European Language Portfolio.
