General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

Short-term adjustments

For organisational reasons, we reserve the right to adjust the times or locations of courses due to events which occur at short notice. The course organiser can replace the course leader at any time without notice.

Number of participants and implementation

In order to run our courses under ideal conditions, we set a minimum and a maximum number of participants for each learning offer. Course places are allocated in the order of registration (subject to timely payment). If there are insufficient participants, the course will generally not be held and the course fees will be waived or refunded. If there are insufficient participants in the class, it is possible in individual cases that we may run the course with the consent of the course participants, but the course costs will be adjusted.

The minimum number of participants for the first aid course is 8, the maximum is 12.

The minimum number of participants for driving courses depends on the offer.

Payment modalities

Payment will be made in Swiss francs. When invoicing, the specified payment terms must be observed.A fee of CHF 15.00 will be charged for each reminder. Fahrtraining Meier GmbH can demand that all outstanding amounts are paid in cash before the examination if there are several outstanding invoices, otherwise the examination will be cancelled.

Course exclusion policy

The course management reserves the right to exclude participants from a course which is already underway for a compelling reason. Course fees will not be refunded in case of a course exclusion.

Refunds and cancellations

Depending on the time of deregistration, we can waive all or part of the course fees. Course deregistration must be made in writing. The date of receipt of your letter by the organiser is deemed to be the date of receipt.

In the case of an emergency aid course, cancellation must be made at least 5 working days before the course. Otherwise the course will be charged at 100%. Alternatively, a substitute person can take part.

In the case of driver training courses, the cancellation deadline depends on the respective offer.

If you are unable to attend for health reasons, we require a doctor’s certificate. Otherwise the course will be charged.

After the start of the course: No waiver or refund of the course fee. In case of absences during the course, there is no entitlement to a reduction of the course fee.

Insurance

Driving students are insured during their stay in the vehicles of Fahrtraining Meier GmbH as follows: death: 50,000.-, disability: 100,000.-, daily allowance 30.-, medical expenses. Third-party liability and comprehensive damage are fully covered. No deductible applies. Gross negligence is insured. Items carried along are not insured. For all courses and events organised by Fahrtraining Meier GmbH, we exclude any liability for further damages. You are therefore responsible for obtaining further cover yourself. The use of the facilities of Fahrtraining Meier GmbH is at your own risk. The organiser cannot be held liable for theft, loss or damage to items. The course participants are obliged to comply with the safety and accident prevention regulations applicable on the course premises as well as the rules of order applicable there.

Driving lessons: Missing and deregistration

In case of no-show or late cancellation, we have to charge the full fee. For driving lessons, a cancellation must be made at least 48 hours (two working days) before the lesson.

Programme and prices are subject to change.

The reproduction of the course documents for unauthorised purposes, the passing on, utilisation and communication of their contents to third parties is not permitted. Violations will result in liability for damages.

Place of jurisdiction

Swiss law is applicable to all legal relationships with Fahrtraining Meier GmbH. The place of jurisdiction is Zug.

Changes to these GTC

Fahrtraining Meier GmbH reserves the right to change or amend these GTC in the future (as of 01.01.2019).
