Overview and requirements

  • Cat. A1 with max. 50 cm3 / max. 45 km/h -> From 15 years of age

    1. Basic course 1 + 2 + 3

    2. Practical exam

  • Cat. A1 with max. 125 cm3 -> From 16 years of age

    1. Basic course 1 + 2 + 3

    2. If you have a category B driver's license: No practical exam

    2. If you don't have a drivers license: practical exam

  • Cat. A limited to max. 35 kW -> From 18 years of age

    1. If you have a category A1 scooter license before 2021: Basic course 3

    1. If you have a category A1 scooter license after 2021: no basic course

    1. If you don't have a scooter license: basic course 1 + 2 + 3

    2. Practical exam

  • Cat. A unrestricted -> Must have held Cat. A restricted for 2 years

How we drive and what you need to do so

Basically, you ride your own motorcycle. However, you can also rent one from a dealer.
Important: Your motorcycle must betechnically sound und checked (condition of brakes, tires, etc.). Ideally, it should have two seats.

Equipment (required for lessons and exams)

• Motorcycle helmet (tested according to ECE Regulation 22) with visor or goggles

• Motorcycle gloves

• Motorcycle jacket, preferably with protectors

• Motorcycle pants, preferably with protectors

• Motorcycle boots/motorcycle shoes

Course language (basic courses)

Our courses are conducted in dialect/Swiss German (standard German if required). German language skills should correspond to at least Standard A2 of the European Language Portfolio.
